MINISTRY OF HEALTH 2020,VISION:

• To provide the highest possible quality of healthcare services to people throughout the Kingdom through a wide range of services and facilities and well-trained staff.  The MOH system is based upon the concepts of fairness, efficiency and financial responsibility.  MOH carries out its mission in a way that satisfies the needs of all citizens by providing them with the best quality of both specialized and general health services.

• To create one comprehensive system for formulating healthcare policies, including health insurance services.

 

• To adopt a national health strategy that concentrates on the main causes of illness and disability, including transmittable diseases, poor nutrition, smoking, AIDS and preventable injuries.

• To maintain a system with fair and adequate methodologies for determining risks and benefits.

 

• To diversify revenue sources for effectively financing the system, including  general revenues, insurance premiums, and the equal division of allotted costs and taxes.

 

 

MISSION:

The mission of the Ministry of Health is to provide comprehensive and integrative therapeutic, rehabilitative, and supportive health care, in line with Islamic principles and the medical ethics.  MOH carries out its mission to satisfy the needs of patients, their families and the community by increasing the public’s knowledge of health issues, as well as by providing the same standard of healthcare throughout the Kingdom.  MOH also strives to meet the needs of its employees by providing training and by rewarding them for doing their best to provide all patients with the highest possible standard of healthcare services.
